Dr. Susan Hunt is a clinical psychologist that works with adults, children, teens, and families in her private practice (www.drsusanhunt.com). She conducts psychological assessments, works with individuals who are struggling with various mental health issues (e.g., Anxiety, PTSD, Depression, ADHD, ASD, Stress, Grief, etc.), and provides various therapeutic treatments/interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT, Family Systems Therapy, etc.). In addition, Dr. Hunt is an instructor at Douglas College, teaches health and wellness course for police officers, and is often quoted by local and national magazines for her expert advice and tips. In her private practice, she works with many first responders, their children, and families. She also lives in a first responder family.
In our Paramedic Service we use Dr. Hunt’s books in 2 ways. First, anytime we have a Paramedic that is taking a maternity or paternity leave we give them a set of the books as a “shower” type gift; second, when a Paramedic with young children encounters a stressful critical incident we provide a set
